Sending this message again, just in case it did not get posted.
The surname D'Ambroso is valid. My father emigrated to Australia from Northern Italy and his family in Italy have the same surname with the same spelling. The surname D'Ambrosio is not recently related. I am very interested in finding out more about the surname myself. I cannot find anyone else with this surname in Australia and was surprised to read Krista's message from the USA. There may be a link, since very few members of the family ventured away from their home town.I would be interested to hear from Krista, and to hear more about her grandfather or perhaps great grandfather.
