128 - Posted by bob- AT - smitty  -- NAME: Diane Zaino Smith on 02/08/00 at 3:53 PM Subject:   Relative Search My father, Giuseppe Paolo Zaino (born 1897) left two sisters in Italy when he came to America --- Christina and Luisa Zaino. Christina married a Tarquinio and stayed in Popoli --- Luisa married a man from L'Aquila and moved there. I have no idea what Luisa's husband's name was and would like to go to L'Aquila to research any possible offspring --- how would I go about this without benefit of last name or when she died? I would need her husband's surname to search??? How would I approach the town hall for a death announcement without knowing when she died??? I have been to her home town in Popoli and tried to find a record of marriage in the Church records, but was not successful. The only thing I know for sure is that she was older than my father and married a man from L'Aquila. Unfortunately, my Italian is not sufficient to converse in depth with town hall employees if they don't speak English, I won't get very far. Given these circumstances, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
