: Please send me more informations about your family in Italy. My grandparents were born in Spinete,Campo Basso- they were Filomena Diamente and Giovanni Muccillo. Ask your father if he knows another members of this family.
: I live in Brasilia, Brasil and I have a sister living in Rio de Janeiro.
: I'm waiting for your message.

Hello Lais,
Many of my Italian ancestors came from Spinete. My 3rd great-grandmother was Teresa Muccillo (1794-1861). I am also related to some Diamente’s (cousins). Around 1887, many of my ancestors left Spinete, Italy and traveled to São Paulo, (Campinas), Brazil. So far, I know that my Cifelli, Spina, and Colantuono relatives made this trip. More than likely, some of my other relatives also went. My grandmother Elvira Cifelli was born in Brazil in 1893. Around 1897, most of them returned to Spinete, Italy. And, in 1903 my ancestors (Cifelli’s) immigrated to the USA. Are you related to some of my relatives that stayed in Brazil instead of returning to Spinete? There was another message post that I responded to recently by Daniel Moreira Miranda, see http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=message&r=an&p=localities.weurope.italy.molise.campobasso&m=399.403.572
Daniel has not as yet posted a return message. His original post was about 2 ½ years ago, so perhaps he now has a new email address and has not seen my post.

The Muccillo and Diamente surnames remain in Spinete even today. I currently have access to the civil records from Spinete through LDS. However, only up to 1910. In your post, you said that your grandparents Filomena Diamente and Giovanni Muccillo were born in Spinete. Can you give me some additional information? Their parents names (your great-grandparents) and the approximate dates of their marriage. If so, I might be able to link to my genealogy.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Ciao, cousin?

Bob
