My father is named Americo Tamburro and born in Setterfrati and his father
was named Cesidio Tamburro. Americo was born in 1927. His father Cesidio
I don't know the exact details) spent time in England - his father,
Americo's grandfather(name unknown) was pursuing a business venture in
England. It failed and the family reurned to Italy. The kids, including
Cesidio, had a tough time as they were brought up English and knew little
Italian. Accordingly, they moved to the U.S. (New York) at the turn of the
century. Cesidio served in the U.S. navy - vaued since he spoke English.
OF that family, Cesidio, my grandfather, was the only one to move back to
Setterfrati after the war. The rest of Cessidio's siblings stayed in the
U.S. After WWII, my Father emigrated to Canada with his wife Francesca
Paglia and Cessidio and his wife Antonia emmigrated to New York with the
rest of his children - Bridgette and Vincenzo. If there is any connection please e-mail me. I plan to visit Settefrati
