Mascitelli isn't a terribly common name but I have seen it in the province of Chieti. : Now, having said that, if your family does come from in or around Chieti, then that's a good start. My g-grandmother was Lucia Mascitelli. : She was born in 1862 in Villamagna, pr. Chieti. Her father's name was : Costantino Mascitelli, born 1824 in Villamagna. Lucia had a sister named : Albadora but that's all I know of her. I know there was another sister : who married a man whose surname was Montanaro. : My family emigrated to the US, to Philadelphia, after the turn of the 20th century. : Let me know what information you have now.
