Subject: Bordine Family
Greetings Abruzzo Friends!
I am looking for information on my grandmother's family. Anna Bordine came to the US
(Baltimore) with her parents and older brother (Paul) at about age 12. She and her brother
used the name "Bordine," but I have seen it spelled "Bordini" on some documents. I could
find neither name on the Abruzzo index of surnames, but was wondering if the name might
have been derived from the town of Caselbordino. I remember my mom once mentioning
that either her grandfather (Joseph Bordine) or another Bordine ancestor was related (in
a distant way) to a local prince, although this could have been legend. Any leads would be
appreciated.
