A Michele D'Amelio moved to Monteleone di Puglia, province of Foggia, in the 1600 or 1700, had 13 children. His eldest was named Francesco D'Amelio and his son was named Gerardo. so after many generations in between, I can go back to my great Grandfather (Gerardo) passed away around 1934, my Grandfather (Francesco) passed away in 1926, my father (also Gerardo) passed away in 1976. My father did tell me that my grandfather and great grandfather used to do construction in New York City before my grandfather married. My father has cousins in Toronto (Franceso and Giuseppe), met them a couple of times quite a few years ago and I am fairly confident that there are relatives in the New York, New Jersey area. Regards
