Just wondering if your mother has relatives in the Ottawa area?
My grandmother was Assunta Spadaccini (married Antonio Ricciuti)and the family moved to Ottawa from Pretoro/Pagnotta in the 1960's. My grandmother Assunta had a sister named Laura and a brother (still living in Ottawa I believe) named Nicola. I found the similarties interesting. I believe my grandmother grew up in Roccamontepiano.
I was told by my Aunts that there are Spadaccini first cousins in Connecticut and in Australia.
