Why do you think Vincenzo Lombardi came from Milan? The Lombardi surname may have appeared in Abruzzo since 1400-1500, when maestranze (construction workers and enterpreneurs) came from Lombardy, and might also be derived form the "Longobardi", the population that invaded here in about 600 AD.
