: : I am searching for lost relatives and more information on my great-great grandparents from Tocco da Casauria

: : Vincenzo Lombardi (possibly had family in Milan) married Maria Rischitelli. Their son
: : Eustachio Lombardi (born abt 1885)married Nunziata Coia . I know she had 3 brothers who moved to Australia.

: : Nunziata Coia's parents Antonio Coia (Born 1845) and married Caterina DiDonato.
: : Any information would be greatly appreciated.
: : Thank you,

: hello Aimee, our researcher from from Abruzzo2000 says he found both Eustachio's marriage and his birth act, and a number of other documents attached to the marriage, possibly you did not receive the email informing you of the results. Why do you think Vincenzo Lombardi came from Milan? The Lombardi surname may have appeared in Abruzzo since 1400-1500, when maestranze (construction workers and enterpreneurs) came from Lombardy, and might also be derived form the "Longobardi", the population that invaded here in about 600 AD.
: Contact us if you still need the acts. Also, in one act (1893, death act for Maria Rischitelli, at 35 years old) a "Carmine Lombardi" is mentioned as a declarer, from the age he may have been a brother to Vincenzo - Ant if you go to

: and write "Lombardi" in the 'cognome' field and 'Tocco da Casauria' in the 'comune' field you'll see interesting connections.

Thank you for all the great information. I am new to the Abruzzo website and am not quite sure how you operate. I would love to have copies of the acts of these family members. What do I need to do to get a copy of them? I have copies of the birth certificates of Eustachio Lombardi and Nunziata Coia, I also have their marriage certificate. I found this through the Pescara Archives. I would like to have a copy of Maria Rischitelli's death act if possible. I was told from Eustachio's oldest son (who is still alive but 90 years old) he thinks he remembers Vincenzo going to Milan to visit relatives. That is the only basis I have for thinking he may be from there. I have not been able to find anything about him. He was married 3 times before he married Maria. And had another child from his 3rd wife. I really appreciate the information. Please let me know how I can find more information on getting copies of the acts.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME YOUR WORK IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Regards, Aimee
