maybe we have already met and we don't remember each other! So you actually belong to the Valeri I know. I think you know quite well Michelina's children, Gino, who is a doctor, Rossana (who has always been my favourite, when I was a child and also now) and Speranza, not Speranzo. He was named after a lawyer, whose name was, sensibly enough, Francesco Speranza (Speranza being his surname) because one of my granduncles had a lawsuit concerning contiguous lands, and uncle Santuccio was so enthusiastic about winning the suit that he gave the succesful lawyer's surname to his own blameless little child. He has had problems all his life. All the mail was directed to Mrs. Speranza Silveri, etc.
I hope you decide to come to Italy all the same, and I also hope public opinion will be able to stop the war. I am a pacifist and took part in the demonstration of the past February 15.
About my English...well, I hope it is good because it is where my living comes from. I teach English language and literature in a high school. Ciao for now
