But I think our link is further back than we can trace at this time. The Rocco and Filomena of my side are husband and wife, not brother and sister. My maternal grandmother, Giovina Veri was born 12 Dec 1880 in San Vito. Her father Rocco Veri was born 1836 and her mother Filoomena Marchegiano was born in 1843. There were three other children (brothers and sister of Giovina): Anna Maria born 22 August 1869, Camillo b. 4 january 1874 and Antonio b. 2 November 1886. Again, these were all Rocco and Filomena's children. As mentioned Rocco, her father, was born 4 March 1836 and died in a sea storm with his boat on 16 November 1899 with his two sons Camillo and Antonio that were in the same boat. They were found on the beach of Vasto (a town about 40 km south of San Vito). Giovina's father was Rocco(b.1836), her paternal grandfather was Camillo Veri(1810), great-grandfather was Rocco Veri(1786)and great-great grandfather Vito Veri(1751). Perhaps you can find a link to one of the paternal ancestors. Good Luck!
