Hello,

I read your posting with interest. First thing - Pescara del Tronto is a VERY small hamlet in the commune of Arquata del Tronto. This is not in Abruzzi at all. Technically, it is in Le Marche and is in the "commune" of Arquata del Tronto. And, Arquata del Tronto is in the province of Ascoli Piceno and, of course, Ascoli is in Le Marche. Actually, when one takes the Via Salaria and drives from Rome (province of Lazio), Pescara del Tronto is one of the first hamlets just within the border of Le Marche. It is just across the border from Lazio. Umbria is just over the hill to the north and Abruzzi is just over the hill to the south. You might want to go to www.google.com and search for "Arquata del Tronto" and you'll need to contact the municipal office for information on distant relatives. If this doesn't work let me know. My family is from the same area.
