Dave:

I have done alot of Delli Gatti genealogy in Nusco and can probably connect your ancestors to mine. I have traced my Delli Gatti line back to about 1690. As I'm sure you know, the Cathedral in Nusco has baptism, marriage and burial records that are bound in 50 year increments back to the founding of the Cathedral in the 1550's. I hired a professional genealogist to go to Nusco and do the research. I will dig out my copy of the family history I wrote and see what I can find. Are you from Nusco? Do you live there now? You could probably found out quite a bit by going and having a chat with the Arcipriete or Head Priest at the Cathedral.

My maiden name was Dell. My grandfather was born in 1894 Giovanni Delli Gatti in Nusco, son of Francesco Antonio Delli Gatti and Maria Rosa Di Pierno. He was one of about 10 kids who immigrated with the family to Fairmont, West Virginia in 1898. There are a bunch of Delli Gatti's in Fairmont, West Virginia.

I'll be in touch once I find my family history. We just moved and it's packed away. I also put a copy of it in the LDS Genealogy Library in Salt Lake City and they copied in onto Microfilm so it can be ordered and looked at if you are near an LDS Genealogy Library (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints).
