My grandfather Piacentino di Cioccio was from Ortucchio; came to the US as a little boy in 1893. His wife (Mary Ferrante) may also be from the L'Aquila region...I'm not sure. di Cioccio seems to be a common name in Abruzzi--does anyone have any info about the family or about the village of Ortucchio?
