It's interesting that there were two Campitelli women with such similar names. Our research to date shows that our grandmother's name which we thought was Angeline may have been Angela before she arrived in U.S. Here is the complicated part. Yes, our grandparents had a boarder named Joseph Giallanardo. He was widowed with 2 children. Our records show after our grandfather Antonio died June 29, 1933 at the age of 43, our grandmother eventually remarried to Joe Giallanardo, the boarder- thus returning her last name BACK to the same name as her maiden name! She died named Angeline Giallanardo on 8-16-66.
The 1930 census records you refer to would place the birth of my grandfather in the year 1896, but we have records showing his birth as 1890, with his death in 1933 at the age of 43. So something is wrong somewhere. (He should have been 39-40 years old in 1930 - maybe this is just a typo error in the census log??) Would appreciate comparing notes with you in more detail. We would appreciate if you could please email us directly with any further contact so that we can sort out the confusion.
