I guess I was too excited to think clearly. Both of my grandparents (Filomena and Pietro/Peter Capocciama) passed away in the '70's when I was 12 or 13. I believe Filomena's maiden name was Di Salvo, but she would have been about your grandmother's age. Maybe there's some confusion on her maiden name and she was good friends with Celeste. Just today on another message board, I happened upon a descendant of Sante Capocciama & Celeste Di Guilio looking for info. She shows Sante's birth as June 1888 in Alvito, Frosinone, Lazio, Italy. These are obviously your grandparents, and she must be related to you. I'm not sure of Sante's relationship with my grandfather, but I would love to find out. He, too, was born in Alvito in the late 1880's. From her posting, it looks like they had a child Alessandro Capocciama who was born on Sep 10 1921 and died May 1993 in Surey, England. I sent her an email today and hope she responds. Would you like her email address?
