: : Ciao! I have a good collection of information on Monacellis that came to Orleans County, NY from Alfedena. I am happy to share information.

: Holly,
: I noted that you have data on the Monacelli family that emigrated from Alfedena to Orleans County, N. Y.. I've been trying to research my family history and both of my paternal grandparents came from Alfedena. My great grandmother was Pasqua Monacelli who was born in Alfedena in 1849, married my great grandfather, Costantino Di Valerio there, and then came to Erie, Pennsylvania in 1915 where she died just a few months after she arrived. When her son, Carlo Di Valerio, (my grandfather) died in 1952, I remember that a cousin, Quindy Monacelli, came to the funeral from Orleans County.
: Pasqua's father was Damiano Monacelli, who was born in Alfedena in 1789 and died there in 1861. His father was Daniele Monacelli who died in Alfedena on Jan. 26, 1801.
: On my grandmother's ( Dorotea Spada) side of the family, she had a great great grandmother named Margarita Monacelli.
: My research so far goes back to the late 1700's, and the Alfedena family names in my direct line include, Di Valerio, Spada, Monacelli, Valentini, Passarelli, Brunetti, Belli, Zaccagnini, Di Filippo, Di Bartolomeo, Melone, D'Andrea, D'Orazio, D'Amico, Di Troia and Massarocco.
: If you have any information on these familiies, I'd like to exchange data with you.
