Pontarelli on 05/21/01 at 12:02 PM Subject:   heritage Re: Rocchetta al Volturno Our father, Ross(Rosinto), is from Rocchetta al Volturno, Provincia Isernia. His father was Amato Pontarelli, whose father was also Rosinto. The town is actually in two parts, one being Rocchetta nuova, at the base of the mountain that it is on, and the other, Rocchetta Vecchia,(Alta), which is at the top of the same mountain. This part of town,Rocchetta Alta, is where a majority of our relations migrated from when they left for America. Many are in Chicago, and surrounding suburbs, and many are in Rhode Island and Philadelphia. Our mothers' maiden name is Di Meo, and her mother was a Pontarelli, but her father was a Giannini.
