Hi there,
I have been told that my grandfather was from Ischia, an island off the coast of Naples. While he apparently had a number of brothers, none of them settled in Rhode Island where he did. There is talk in the family of a part of the family that changed the surname to Thomas. They lived in N.Y. and one person was a doctor.
