My mother, Antonietta Marano, and my grandmother, Anna Colace, are from Santa Maria del Molise. My grandfather (Nicola Marano) was born in Cantalupo nel Sannio, but his family was from Santa Maria del Molise. My grandmother's sister (Angela Colace) was married to Domenico Taddeo and they had a son named Michele Taddeo. I believe Michele emmigrated to Montreal. I have been working on my family history for the past 3 years, but have been focussing on my father's side of the family. In the next couple of months, I will start focussing on the mother side of the family. I will be ordering some microfilm on birth, marriage, and death records for the towns of Sant'Angelo in Grotte/Santa Maria del Molise from the Family History Centre.
