Although I do not have much information as far as your geneology, I am very interested in your posted message and followup's. I was born in Waterbury, CT. My grandparents were Pietro Evangelista and Guissepina (I hope spelled correctly) Giacci both of St. Angelo in grotte. I know I have geneology common to the Marano surname. I have been to Italy to visit St. Angelo and my cousins (of the Giacci surname). What an absolutely beautiful place. I know I have relatives living in Franklin, Mass (whom I have never met) as well as Toronto (whom I have met once when I was very young). It was very interesting to see someone respond from Franklin, Mass. There is a book entitled "Growing up Italian in Waterbury" by Richard Marano which may have some more information as it does discuss the first immigrants who came over from St. Angelo. Good luck!
