I am William R. Di Cioccio My family is from Coooe S.Magno Fr. Italia.For 6 generations the family came from Colle.S Magno,before that Somewhere in Abruzzia. The name came is Germanic in origin. The Franks came to Italy in the 8 th century to chase the Saxons from Southern Italy. Charla Magno, Charlameign, Charles the Grate. I have a copy of the stem of the family { Suite of arms ]. It contains the insignia of the Vatican { crosed keys } My Grand Father had 8 children and his brother had 12. There are probabily 200 of us here in the N.J area. I am going to Italy next week, Usualy I go for a month a year,just to stay with family and keep in touch with my roots. There are several hundred in the Cassino area. There are Di Cioccio's in Germany,Italy ,Portugal,Switzerland. Most are blue eyed and big chested, verry long arms.. It is verry interesting how genetics work. You would think after 1200 years the blue eyes still remain dominant. Good luck Cuzz.
