My grandfather was Michael DiPetta and arrived in the U.S. in the early 1900's. He and his wife, Maria, had four boys: Nicholas, Ombert, Anthony, and a baby that died along with Maria during the Spanish flu outbreak of 1918. My grandfather settled in Morgantown, West Virginia and that's were I grew up. However, my grandfather and his son, Ombert, moved to Detroit sometime in the mid to late '40's. I know that we have relatives in the Cleveland area, my mother remembers an uncle and aunt visiting once, but that's all that she remembers. My father is deceased. My grandfather had a sister, Maria, who left Italy about the same time he did but went to Brazil. Her name was Maria Festa, and I believe her husband was Nicholas Festa. I am interested in hearing more about the DiPetta family. Please keep writing. NCognetti
