17: Paradiso of CampobassoHeritage Forums - February 2001 |

I am eager to find Paradiso relatives from the city of Campobasso, but with roots in San Bartolomeo in Galdo (BN). My grandmother was Maria Concetta Paradiso (1882-1917), born in Campobasso. Her father was Carmine Antonio Paradiso (1852 to 1886), a pyrotechnics artist, who put on fireworks shows. He was killed preparing such a show in September, 1886. His father, my great-great grandfather was Lionardantonio (Leonardo), who was also a pyrotechnics artist, born in San Bartolomeo in Galdo (1825-1896) but who later lived and died in Campobasso. Carmine Antonio married Rosina Poce of Campobasso,daughter of Francesco Paolo Poce of Campobasso. My grandmother married Michele Arcangelo Berardinelli (1880-1958) of Pietracatella (CB). She died in New York City in 1917.
