You responded to my message of Looking for Ancestors Daniello/Zappacosta. My father's mother, my grandmother was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada Maria Zappacosta and her father Sabatino Zappacosta was from Bucchianico, Chieti, Italy. He was born on April 2, 1870 and emigrated to Canada. He had brothers named Tobia, Urbano and possibly Donato and a sister named Camela. His parents names were Carmine Zappacosta and Anna (I don't know her maiden name). Most of the brothers came to Canada but the parents and sister stayed in Italy. Sabatino went back to Italy and married Edvidga Maria Vincenzetti in Pesaro and then came back to Canada where they had their children and settled in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. My grandmother Maria Zappacosta married a man in Sault Ste. Marie that was from Italy Angelo Daniello. That's where the Daniello name comes in. My maiden name is Daniello. I work for a software company in Ottawa, Canada called Cognos. We have offices in Australia. Your Dad Ignazio was only born in 1940. Does he know of any of these names? Has your father been back to Italy? When you go in September do you plan on trying to look up any relatives? Great to hear from you.
