The old folks from that area considered themselves from Abruzzi. My maternal grandfather was Giovanni Colarusso. He came to U.S. around 1902, eventually settling in Greensburg, Pa. He married Vittoria Padule. She and her mother (maiden name:Filomena D'Amico) were from a town called Cittavecchia. My grandfather Colarusso brought his mother over from Frosolone a couple of years before she died in the 1930's, her maiden name was Vittoria Ferraroccio. My grandfather Colarusso also had two brothers, Domnenico who ended up in New Jersey and...I've forgotten his other brother's name, two sisters (who remained in Frosolone and became nuns) and a twin sister, my great-aunt Elizabeth...who married a man named Yaniero, and settled in Mononga, West Virginia.
