I just stumbled across this and believe you are talking about my mother in-laws family (DiPaulo). She (Marie) and her sister (Connie) live in New York but visit Cansano every Summer. There is still a lot of her family there. Her husband (Giulio DiGiacomo) is the real genealogy expert and probably can also tell you lots about Cansano history.
