Some changed their name to Di Pillo after emigrating to USA. Many Pacentrani ended up in Pennsylvania, especially Coraopolis, I believe, and also in Detroit. I understand that a lot of these emigrants moved on to Youngstown, Ohio. For further leads, try the Pacentro website at hometown.aol.com/MItaly209/Pacentro.htm under Guest Book and scroll through the past entries. Also, check out the Pacentro Club of Detroit and Pacentro Club of Youngstown, Ohio sites from the links on the Pacentro homepage - these people are very active and may have info for you. Kind regards, Alex Bull. : Looking for relatives from Abruzzi. Towns that I know of are Sulmona and Pratola Peligna & nearby villages. Names are DIPILLO (changed to DEPILLO here in US), MASTRANGIOLI (changed to MASTRANGELO), CENTOFANTI, SANTARELLI. Grandparents on both sides immigrated to Pennsylvania and Ohio in the early 1900's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
