Vernon, New York, and Long Island, New York. As far as I know, most of the branches of the family originated in New York and Boston. My name is Michelle Carideo. I am from the Boston-based Carideo's, specifically Everett, Massachusetts. I have done some research at The Ellis Island records bank, and come up with a 'Giovanni Carideo' who came here in the early 1900s. I do know that my family emigrated from Avellino, Italy to the US. I now work in Manhattan, but all of my family still lives in Boston. I know that my father, Pat Carideo, who also lives in Boston, had some relatives in New Jersey that he had visited when he was little, but I don't have too much info on them. I am trying to put together a family tree. If anyone has any info, that would be greatly appreciated.
