Hi,: I know of the Colangelo family that lived in Sterling Mass. We visited them when I was a little girl. My mother's maiden name was Lostracco and her mother's maiden name was DeSantis. My parents lived in Torre dei Nolfi, a small farming village outside of Sulmona.: My kids were recently there. I also know of a Maria Ventresca that lived in Boston or E. Boston. The only Ventresca in my family that I know left Italy was Maria Carmela Ventresca (born Scanno 1879), who married Giovanni Costantino Colangelo (born Introdacqua 1875) in Italy. She did not arrive in the U.S. until 1919, and they didn't live in New England, they lived in Pennsylvania. But Giovanni had a brother named Arcangelo Taddeo Colangelo, and I know he lived in the Cambridge/Boston area. Do you know if that's the family you knew? Arcangelo was married several times. One of his daughters is still alive and lives in New Jersey.
