Elena and Gina,

I noticed Elena's post and thought I'd share a tiny bit of info I have.

Introdaqua is not far from Sulmona. 5-10 min car ride? Think of Sulmona as the center and all the little towns are sort of circled around it...Introdaqua, Campo di fano, Bugnara, Torre de Nolfi, etc.

I have a picture showing Introdaqua - this is from a VERY old map. I took a picture of this map at the Vatican museum, it was a large map of Abruzzi on the wall and my photo shows a small part of it where Sulmona is. It just happens to show Introdaqua :)

For Gina, I have a picture of the road to Torre de Nolfi - it doesn't show the town and not a *great* photo but thought I'd share it anyway.

: : : : : Hi Gina,
: : : : : Do you have the maternal parents names of Giovanni and do you know how far Introdaqua is from Sulmona and Torre dei Nolfi, which is where I know all the Ventresca's and Colangelo's come from. I believe the Ventresca's migrated from Introdaqua to Torre dei Nolfi/Sulmona area.

: : : : Yes, I have the maternal parents' names of Giovanni, but he's a Colangelo, and you want Ventrescas, right? Carmela Ventresca's parents are Felice Ventresca (who died before 1891) and Appollonia Susi (died between 1906-1919). I don't really know anything else about them yet, but I'm waiting to hear from the Stato Civile in Scanno about them. Carmela was born in Scanno in 1879.

: : : : I looked on my atlas of Italy and couldn't find any town named Torre dei Nolfi. What province is it in? Is it near Sulmona? I found a Torre de Passeri further north.

: : Gina,
: : I have visited Sulmona and saw Torre de Nolfi while I was there - it is a small town not far from Sulmona. About a 5 minute car ride if I remember correctly. :)

: : Hope that helps.
