My family all come from the Abruzzo region. My fathers name is Franco Lepore. He was born in Sulmona 1951 and emigrated to Australia in 1952. My nonno's name is Antonio lepore - born 11th oct 1915. He served in the second world war and migrated to Aust. in the 50s.My nonno came from a family of 11 siblings. Unfortunately both my nonni are dead. My nonna's paternal family name is Verrocchi - she was born in L'aquila in 1923. Her name is Fillippa. She has a sister who lives in Melbourne. Her name is Bambina Chiarella. She is almost 70 years old. I am replying to the message you sent in 2001 to by somewhat curiosity. Our family surname is not well known out here in Australia. In our entire family (that is related to us), there are only 3 or 4 families that are related to us and come from Abruzzo or originally Genoa.
