Hi Maria. It is possible that my great grandmother was a cousin. What I know so far is her name was Anna Marie Moffa born 1858. She married Orazio Vassalotti and settled in Philadelphia and then Landisville NJ which is in south Jersey. Her parents names were: Gaetano Moffa and Chelia Testa She had two sisters, so far, that I have traced down: Carmela born 1851, Filomena born 1862 and twin brothers, Michael and Giacomo born 1860. Carmela Moffa married Ottavio DelDuca. They had 10 kids. One of their daughters, Josephine, married a Frank Genovese and had a son Frank. They all came to the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. I dont know much more about them at this point. I am in contact with Carmela's great grandchildren, who are my cousins all named DelDuca. Does any of this sound familiar to you? : My great grandparents were Concetta Genovese and Nicola Moffa. They had 2 sons, Giuseppe (Joseph) and Nazzareno. Both came to the US in or around 1919, Joseph settling in Glenside, PA, and Nazzareno, my Grandfather, in Altoon PA. I've found most of the Altoona relatives, but would love to find the Glenside branch. My father, Aldo, had several cousins there, and as he's turned 80, and is waiting for "the big sleep", as he calls it, he would love to hear from anyone that he may know. Also, there are some relatives in Berwick, PA.
