Dear Rose,
Hello! My name is Steven Del Biondo. I live in New York,in The U.S.A.I have been searching for information about my grandfather: Mr. Giovanni Del Biondo born on March 2, 1893 in Pietranico, Abruzzo.
Here is the information my dad has shared with me about Giovanni:
- Giovanni was the youngest child whose mother died when he was very young and he was raised without a mom or dad. No history on Giovanni's dad. (My great grandfather)
-He had 1 older brother(name not known)
-He had a cousin whose son lived in New Britain Connecticut, USA named Giuseppe Del Biondo. Our families knew Giuseppe's son, Joesph (same name as father)His family settled in New Britain,or somewhere in Connecticut. Giuseppe Del Biondo (junior) had 1 brother and 2 sisters. Names: Adam / Palmi / and Rose.
All siblings including Giuseppe jr. have died, except for Rose Del Biondo (in Connecticut) who was the oldest was institutionalized in a hospital.
My Grandfather, Giovanni Del Biondo, according to Ellis Island Records arrived in the USA on July 13, 1910 on the ship "Ancona" from Naples at the age of 17.
He married my grandmother, Vincenza DiTullio (who family line also lived in Italy in Pietranico)in 1921,
in Bridgeport Connecticut.
They had 5 children: Anthony, Livio (my father), Edda,
Helen, and Joesph. My father was born on 11.11.1925.
