Posted by alfred.a.fini- AT - lmco  -- NAME: A Fini on 10/17/01 at 12:00 PM Subject:   Liberati genology Lidio Liberati married Carolyn Fresca about 1850/60.Lidio was a musician/composer.Most of his musical activity centered arround the church in the middle of the old part of Castel Frentano.I was there in 1998.I believe it was St. Stefano.The street in front of the church is Liberati St.You have to picture an old medieval scene with cobble stones and the church being integrated with other masonary structures that makes the whole place look like more of a fortress.The Liberati homestead is across the street again integrated with other stone buildings.Its a small place.The inside of the church is very dark.I dont think there were any windows and you have to walk through a long dark hallway to get to the church proper.Most of the light was from burning candles.Lidio and Carolyn had five children,four boys and a girl.The girl was named Virginia and never married.The oldest boy(my grandfather)was called Anthony and played the baritone horn as well as the slide trombone.He came to the US and joined the Navy.He served in the Navy during the Spanish/American War.He went back to Italy and married a Bernice Di Giacomo,from the same town.Let me go back to Lidio.The other boys were Pierino(also a musician who never married and stayed in Italy),Nicolini(I'm assuming your wifes grandfather) And Peppino who went to Argentino first(stayed at least five years and was called Jose from time to time in a kidding way.There's a heck of a lot more but in direct lineage,Zio Nicolini married a Lucia,a very quiet woman and I'm assuming she was a Cavacini.They had three kids;a Lucia(very pretty,a Inez(spelling ?) And a boy who if my memory serves me correctly was called Willey.Inez married into the Fantini(Domenick ?) family also from Castle Frentano.There more if need be but my lunch hour is up and no use continuing if there is no recognition on your part as to wether we have the right ties and to what depth you are interested.
