D.,
Oh it sounds familiar alright, though i don't recognize the names you mentioned. Both my mother's parents' families (Benedetto and Volpe) came from Pescosanesco, a mountain village in Abruzzo which is closer to Chieti than Pescara. My late grandfather, John A. Volpe, whose parents were both from Pescosanesco, (though he was born in Massachusetts) was the Governor of Massachusetts (60-62, 64-66) and later the first Italian American US Ambassador to Italy. Look for his biography, The Life of an Immigrant's Son, by Kathleen Kilgore, for some interesting stuff about Pesco, including some photos. I've had a very hard time myself finding any information about PS on the web, even at Map sites. But there you go...

: Both sets of my great grandparents came from a village in Pescara, called Pescosansenesco. This was listed as their places of birth on their Social Security Applications in Massachusetts. One was Carmine Luciano and the other was John Julian(changed from Giovanni Giuliano) Carmine was born in 1890 and John in 1892. (Back then it was Termino Province) Carmine married Grace(Last name is unknown or could have also been Luciano)while still in Italy. John married here in the USA. Carmine's parents were listed as Antonio Luciano and Filomina Comincia. John's parents were listed as Consezio Julian and Anna Mucci. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone...any distant or near cousins out there!!! I have hit a dead end. Please help!
