: I recently began researching my paternal genealogy. My grandfather was Nicola Sorgente, born 1890 in Pietracatella, Campobasso. My grandmother was Esther Ricciuti, born about the same time in either Campobasso or Crecchio, Chiete. You are the first I have come across bearing the name, however, I am pretty determined, as you are I'm sure. Unfortunately, I have no other information on my grandmother's family, only her name and approximate birthplace. If you can provide any other leads, I would be very grateful. : Ciao

Do you know what your grandmother Esther's name is in Italian? How old was she when she passed away?
My grandfather(Domenico Antonio) was born in 1910(he passed away in 1996) and his father, my great-grandfather (Paolo) was born in 1872.
Paolo Ricciuti married a Maria Santa Di Fulvio.
My great-great-grandfather was named Luigi Ricciuti and I am almost sure, he was born around 1845.
Now I have been told by cousins that Paolo had 2 sisters named Anna and Filomena but I am not sure if there were any brothers.
I still have a great-uncle(Nicola) and a great-aunt(Adelina) still residing in Pretoro Province Chieti.
I will ask my aunts about Esther, they will be travelling to Italy this summer and I hope they can come back with some information.
I have come across some Ricciuti's in my search but not as many as I had hoped for, at least not yet.
