: I checked Ellis Island records for my grandfather Lorenzo Guetti and found that he came from Italy in 1894 at the age of 5 with a 35 yr. old woman named Verdilio, and two other boys Antori age 11 and Luigi age 8 (his brothers and his mother?). They came from the North- Trentino and their ethnicity was listed as Austrian as was common for Northern Italians at the time. Then I found out about a "Don" Lorenzo Guetti and a street Via Don Guetti in TN Italy. He was a priest who is known as the father of the Trentino farmers co-operative movement. He was born in Vigo Lomaso in 1847. He was the first of 13 brothers (siblings). I think my grandfather was named after him and they should be related. How many Guetti's were there in the North at that time? Does anyone have any information on this?
