I learned this when I was there, checking on my grand mothers family, as I still have cousins in Milan. Her maiden name was DiNardo: other spellings in the family are D'Nardo and DeNardo. These changes may have been made when they entered the U.S. My family name is ALfonso. My grandparents and my father come from Campobasso. My grandfather's name is Michele, but he was born in the area of 1910, and my grandmother is Assunta Alfonso. They had 4 children, Giuseppe, Domenico, Raffaela, and Roberto.
