Our family is from Capistrano in Abruzzi, I was reading your post and thought it funny I share the same name as your grandmother.. Our family settled in Chigago after a short time in New York! Most of us live in Canada. Vancouver area to be excact.
Is DiFiore a very commen name? I have only found a few with this spelling.

: My grandfather's name was Francesco DiFiore. I just spoke with my mom and your father was her uncle. So that makes your father my grandfather's brother. My mom is formerly Anna DiFiore. Funny thing is her and my father came to American in the late 1950's and settled in the Bronx.
