107: Alberico or Canzona Heritage Forums - October 2001

Posted by marioalberico  --  NAME: Mario Alberico on 10/24/01 at 9:17 PM Subject:   Alberico or Canzona My grandfather, Biagio Alberico, was born in Abruzzo in the late 1800s and came to America in the early 1900s and settled in Chicago. I believe he had two brothers - Luigi who settled in Minneapolis, MN and another who settled in Louisville, KY. He married Dolorata Canzona who also was born around the same time in Abruzzo and came to America a little later. Does this connect with anyone? Does San Polo Matese (spelling is wrong, I am sure) ring a bell for any Canzonas? I believe that is where my grandmother was born. Just trying to connect.
