:To Tom Grilli THANKS!!! I spoke with my mother this evening and as it turns out, the people that you have the information for are my Granparents!!! Would love to connect and get more information on them and my great grandparents, too. I do not have your email, can you please contact me and let me know how I can get my hands on the information? My Mom is so excited.

: My grandfather, Biagio Alberico, was born in Abruzzo in the late 1800s and came to America in the early 1900s and settled in Chicago. I believe he had two brothers - Luigi who settled in Minneapolis, MN and another who settled in Louisville, KY. He married Dolorata Canzona who also was born around the same time in Abruzzo and came to America a little later. Does this connect with anyone? Does San Polo Matese (spelling is wrong, I am sure) ring a bell for any Canzonas? I believe that is where my grandmother was born. Just trying to connect.

: Hello Mario,

: I have the Dec. 6, 1906 marriage record of the following couple in San Polo Matese:
: Biase Alberico (b. Feb. 2, 1888) + Addolorata Canzona (b. April 17, 1891).

: Both were born in San Polo Matese.

: There are many Canzona and Alberico families that lived in San Polo Matese. Unfortunately, San Polo Matese is not in Abruzzo but in Molise about 15 miles SW of the city of Campobasso. Even so, the name Addolorata Canzona is very close to that of your grandmother's.

: I have both of their parents' names. If you need them let me know by email. I've done some research in folks from San Polo Matese that came to Cumberland, Wisconsin around 1900.
