Since she was not married at the time of his birth, she gave Francis her last name which was LaPenta. He was born in 1917. As far as I know, she left Francis with a relative in Italy because Geatano didn't want a child that was not his. And Mary left him in Italy and moved to the states in the early twenties. Francis Xavier moved to the states in 1927 when he was 10 years old. He married and had a son Francis Xavier LaPenta Jr. and this is where I come in, I'm the son of Francis Jr. Follow Ups:
