88: Persico Family Heritage Forums - October 2001

Posted by Patchuly813  --  NAME: Annie Persico on 10/21/01 at 10:00 PM Subject:   Persico Family I'm looking for any information on the Persico side of my family. My only living aunt (72 years old) can't remember too much about her father's family. I got information that possibly the family is originally from Caramanico. My grandfather is Michael (Michele) Persico, born March 1885. He immigrated to the U.S. some time prior to 1915. He may have had 2-4 brothers, but I'm not sure. I have family funeral cards of a Pasquale Persico, Antonio Persico and Nicola Persico. Also, I know that my dad and his brothers and sisters had an uncle they called "Sinter" or "Sinta". He married my grandmother here in the States. Her name was Josephine Marotta, from Campagna. They had 5 children: Phil (Felix), Bella (Candida), Henry (Enrico), Mario (my dad), and Theresa. Some time around 1980 or so, 2 of my uncles, Henry (Enrico) and Phil (Felix), along with my aunt Bella (Candida) visited Abruzzo and met some family, but unfortunately, all three have passed on, so I can't get any information from them.
