: My grandmother was born in Montesilvano. Her name was Viola Limonata Fortunato. She was born between March 29, 1880 and April 1, 1880. I am looking for any records from San Michele Arcangelo in Montesilvano. I found her civil birth record from Montesilvano that states she was abandoned and found on April 1, 1880 in the district of San Giovanni. Fortunato is a generic name given to unknown children but I think her real last name is DiLuca. I am hoping the church records can shine some light on it. How can I find the church records or contact the parish priest? Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it very much.

Montesilvano is a big place now, but in 1880 was much smaller and possibly there was only one parish for the baptism records. That may be the old church in Montesilvano Paese (in the hinterland) while the urban development was along the seaside after WW2.
On the white pages there are these addresses for four parish churches:
PARROCCHIA Santi Innocenti Martiri 15, v. marmolada 65015 MONTESILVANO (PE)
PARROCCHIA DELLA BEATA VERGINE MARIA DEL MONTE CARMELO 21, v. giovi 65015 MONTESILVANO (PE)
PARROCCHIA S.ANTONIO DI PADOVA di S.Antonio di Padova v.S.Francesco 65015 MONTESILVANO (PE)
PARROCCHIA S.GIOVANNI BOSCO Villa Verrocchio MONTESILVANO 65015 MONTESILVANO (PE)
PARROCCHIA S.MARIA MADRE DELLA CHIESA v.Sangro MONTESILVANO 65015 MONTESILVANO (PE)

You can try writing a letter to the five churches, you may receive a reply.
