My grandfather emigrated to the US in the early 1800's from Abbateggio and Di Toro was incorrectly translated) with my grandmother, Philomena DiPietrantonio who I believe was the sister of Guissepe. Her mother's name was Maria and also had, to my knowledge, at least 18 children. My father is Victor DeToro who spent time in both villages as a child, my Aunts Natalie De Stefanis and Helen De Toro (now Gaudiosi)sang opera in the region. Follow Ups:
