: Hi

: My mother is a Marcovecchio from Montazzoli, Italy. Her father was Giuseppe Marcovecchio , a master shoemaker. He married Giuseppina Quinzio from Caslinguida. Her family was in the jewelry business. According to my mother's records, he was born in Montazzoli but I am not sure of this as I do not have any documentation. Also, the Marcoveccchio family was the only family in Montazzoli back in the 1890s when they were married.

: In my family memorabilia I have come across photos that were marked Agnone. I never heard my mother speak of any relatives in Agnone but I think there is definitely a connection. Today there is only one family with the name Marcovecchio in Montazzoli (my cousins Salvatore and Augustino). Cousins here in America have told me that Paulo Marcovecchio was Giuseppe's father. Again, no documentation. I am now looking for information from the Mormons who have Civil Records dating back to 1800.

: I know that my Aunt Angelina's daughter Edila Checchio lives in Buenos Aires. She is married to Ernest DiNizo and they have two children Walter and Caroline. Perhaps you could locate them and they might be able to help you.

: Let me know if any of this information will help you.

I also am a Marcovecchio desendent here in Los Angeles CA. I have just started to dive into my family history and have found that my great grand father came to the US from Agnone. I don't know much more but I will hopefully have more answers in the next few months. I would love to hear from anyone else.

Tony
