The name goes back to the early 1700's in Gimigliano (the furthest back I can go with civil records). : : : : I'd say at least one-third of all Minervino's in the world today come from someone born in Gimigliano. The proportion of Minervini's is fewer in Gimigliano. : : : : It seems likely that Minervino and Minervini are often the same surname as I have found numerous Minervino's that changed their name to Minervini and vice versa. Hello again. Soo nice to hear from you two. I was just curious, that' s why I wrote to the Minervini's, and you appeared. My Grand father' s Name was Nicola Minervini Minervini, twice Minervini' s last name. I don ' t know why. My grandmother Dorothea Spaccavento, also from Molfetta. They both die about 8 years ago. We have some Spaccavento family 's in New York. Patt Spaccavento, a Cousin of my father, New York Police Detective. My father is Saverio Minevini, same name as my son. We are Shipowners. We own Tankers, Cargo Vessels, Harbour and Salvage Tugs, and are Port Owners and Port Operators in Colombia. I am 37 years old. married, with two kids: Marianna and Saverio, 3 and 7 years old respectively. Well, that is about what can I tell. Hope to keep in touch. Don 't know, may be we are related.
