222: Family search Heritage Forums - January 2002

Posted by kges- AT - bestweb  --  NAME: Elena on 01/25/02 at 1:48 PM Subject:   Family search In searching Ellis Islands records, I believe I may have found information about my grandfather. He was always known to us as Otis Sabatini, however I have found an "Ottavio Sabatini" whose age matches my grandfather's when he came here in 1898. Otis' birthday was May 8, 1887. He had several siblings, including Dominic, Ernie, Louise & Milliette. On the ship's manifest for 10/8/98 in the ship FULDA out of Naples, there is also listed an Domenico Sabatini and a Louisa Sabatini. The town listed as point of origin is "Casalinguien" - probably Casalinguida, where my family is from. It seems quite likely that these are all the same people. DOes anyone have any more information about these people? There was also another brother, Louis (Luigi?), born May 8, either 1890 or 1892.
